Star City Experience

One of the good things that happened to me in Manila was being able to go to Star City

I always love carnivals and this was my first time to go to an out-of-town carnival because I lived in Cagayan de Oro City and grew up in Davao City and this was my first time being in Manila. I always wanted to go Star City or Enchanted Kingdom and good thing that Star City is just near the hotel where we're staying at, so I didn't miss the chance of being there. Of course, how can I ever forget sharing you my experience.

The best thing about a carnival are the rides and Star City has rides that I never have had in my entire life. And here are the things that I enjoyed most in Star City:

Wild River

Zyklon Loop

Flying Carpet

Snow World

And lots of picture taking too...

Good News and Bad News

Good news:

I'm back home which means that I can sleep well again. Staying at a hotel while we're in Manila is staying in the hospital which makes me sick.

I could blog again and post all the frustrations that I have with my medical exam and my interview that was postpone, but I have some fun moments that I'd be posting here about some fun things I did in Manila.

My medical exam is done which can be considered as a progress in my visa processing.

Bad news:

My Interview was postponed due to my son's medical exam that was done last April 29, 2008 which is supposed to be our Interview date.

We need to go back to Manila on May 6th for my interview since we rescheduled it and it was the earliest date that we can have.

My Step-by-Step St. Luke's Medical Exam

Since I applied for K1 Visa and K2 Visa for my son, we undergo a medical examination at SLMCEC. And here is how we went through the said medical examination last April 23, 2008, hoping that this would help anyone who would go through this process.

REQUIREMENTS
◘Passport and one photocopy of it.
◘One 2x2 Picture in plain white background and another two 2x2 Picture upon releasing the result.
◘Appointment Letter and one photocopy per applicant.

PROCESS (this is based on my own experience)

DAY 1 → April 23, 2008

I arrived at SLMCEC at 6:00 AM and there are lots of people who are already there.

Step 1: Gave the required documents to the guard before getting inside the clinic. He'll check it and give you the forms that you need to fill up and your priority number.
Step 2: Filled up the form (PDS).
Step 3: My number was called by another guard and proceeded to have a picture taking on a room just in the ground floor. Each applicant should be taken a picture.
Step 4: Fall in line on the reception area. The receptionist checked my forms and required documents and asked me some questions (i.e. if that was my first time having a medical exam at St. Luke's, when was the last I had an X-ray, how many are we whose taking the medical exam, do I have some relatives who already went medical at st. luke's and so on).
Step 5: Went to 5th floor to pay at the Cashier. The payment should be in pesos. Click here for the cost of the medical examination now.
Step 6: Submit papers to the USA counter(5th floor) for physical exam. Checked height and weight, eye test, blood pressure, and physical exam (one on one with a doctor and needs to undress).
Step 7: Submit papers at the reception area(4th floor) for blood test and urine test and fill up a waiver for HIV blood test. Name called and went to the room at the back (same floor) for blood test. Then went to CR and get vial from the nurse sitting in the entrance of the CR. Urinate and submit the vial with my urine to same nurse. Name called and get your papers.
Step 8: Submit papers to the counter for X-ray (3rd floor). Name called and went to X-ray room. Take off upper clothes (including bra) and wear their robe (one use only). Took X-ray and bring papers to the 2nd floor after dressing up.
Step 9: Submit papers to the vaccination area table for vaccine interview (2nd floor). Name called and fall in line. If you have previous vaccination, make sure that you bring your records and it should be signed your doctor with his/her license number, it doesn't need to be notarized. The doctor asked me if I want to have my shots at St. Luke's or have it once I'm in the US because it is NOT required for K1 and K2 applicants but it is required for adjustment of status.
Step 10: Go back to 3rd floor and submit all your papers at the Check-out counter. They'll tell you to go back the following day for your vaccination and releasing of result. Make sure that they'll give you your receipt.

I was able to finish it at 11:00 o'clock in the morning.

DAY 2 → April 24, 2008 (9:30 AM)

Step 11: Show my receipt to the guard at the ground floor and they checked it on their computer. They stamped it "IMMUNIZATION (2ND FLOOR)". Went to 2nd floor and put my receipt on the box in front where it says says "PUT YOUR RECEIPT HERE" then waited my name to be called.
Step 12: After a few hours of waiting and probably doze off a bit(lol) my name was called and proceeded to the Immunization Room. Show passport to the nurse. Got my 3 shots and it hurts.
Step 13: Go down to ground floor for the releasing of results. Name called at Counter A. I gave my passport and two 2x2 photo with white background (if possible, similar to the one you attached in your PDS) with my full name at the back of each photo.
Step 14: Waited and name called at Counter E. They asked me some questions, I believe, for verifications because they would based on all the papers that you submitted to them. They gave me my X-ray film and vaccination sheet. They'll be the one who'll be forwarding the results , together with your passport, in 2-3 working days to the US Embassy.

For my son (K2 Visa)
We went together from Step 1 to 6. But during his physical exam (one on one with the doctor), the doctor was worried about the white spots that appeared on both of my son's arms, so she referred us to the dermatologist. Then we went to the 2nd floor for his vaccination interview. Unfortunately, they were not satisfied by his vaccination records because it was not signed by his pediatrician eventhough we have a certificate from his pediatrician and notarized by an attorney. So they suggested that my son should undergo vaccination which is appropriate to his age.

Went to Counter G and gave us the paper that we should be giving to the dermatologist who would check my son who is located at the St. Luke's main.

We then went to the dermatologist and have my son's skin checked. Glad to know that it's nothing serious and gave us cream that would cure those white spots on my son's skin. The doctor said that the result should be submitted to the SLMCEC within 2-3 working days. The result got in SLMCEC in the afternoon of the 28th.

We went to the SLMCEC first thing in the morning at the 29th. The guard stamped "MEDICAL RESULT IN PROGRESS (COUNTER A)", so we proceeded to Counter A and drop the receipt on the box intended for them. My son's name called at Counter G and told us that his papers would be assessed by their resident doctor but we can proceed to 2nd floor for the vaccination.

At the 2nd floor, after 3 hours of waiting, my son's name finally called and was interviewed by a doctor regarding his vaccination again and got the same result. Then after another 2 hours, my son's name was called again and we proceeded to the immunization room and my son got 5 shots at one time (just imagine the pain).

Went to ground floor for the releasing of result. My son's name was called at Counter A and I submitted his passport and two photos. After almost 3 hours which would be exactly 5 o'clock in the afternoon, my son's name was called at Counter B and had a little interview and son had his thumbmark on his PDS. Got his vaccination sheet.

DONE at April 29, 2008 (5:15 PM)

For questions and clarifications, please feel free to leave me a message and I will answer them with the best of my knowledge.

Will Be Away for a Couple of Weeks

I hate to not always update my blog but I need to be in Manila for a couple of weeks and my computer is a desktop, so obviously I can't bring it anywhere. I will try to visit an Internet cafe if it's possible and update this site. If you have read my previous posts, you'd know the reason. And for those who knew the reason please wish me luck and pray for me. I really your prayers for me now.

See you when I see you! I will miss everyone here for a while.

GreenThumb?

I am not a greenthumb but I want to grow plants. I am a nature-lover and so I wanted to see green all over the place. I would prefer a place that is green rather than gray. Eventhough I don't have a greenthumb, I still have my way of growing plants. I'm so thankful that God created Cactus.

Cactus are not like the usual plants where you need to water always and make sure that no parasites are eating it. You only need to make sure that they are always under the sun, direct sunlight would be the best, but it won't hurt it if it would be wet. You don't need to spend lots of time taking care of it which is very good for a working mom like me but you get to grow plants which is what I wanted to do.

Here are some of the cactus that I already grew:

Mammillaria egregia

Mammillaria saboae

Prickly Pear Cactus

And here some some which I don't know the name:

I have more cactus when I still lived in Davao but unfortunately I wasn't able to bring them here in Cagayan de Oro.

New Hair

This past few days, I was so busy preparing like crazy for my Visa interview. As I have mentioned on my post "Getting Nearer" about my Interview Date which is on April 29. But good thing that I am almost done with everything that I need to do, well, I have to be almost done since I'll be flying to Manila this tuesday for the medical exam. And since I am almost with it, I finally got the chance to pamper myself by going to a salon yesterday and had my hair done. . I got it relaxed and hair cellophane. And with the hair cellophane, they can color your hair and they applied "magenta" color on my hair for a new look. . It is like a reddish-brown but it would be obvious once the light reflects on my hair. I like the outcome of it and I hope that it would stay long.

By the way, I went to Carlo Reyes Hair Salon and it was my first time having my hair done in that salon. I like the customer service there. Three people attended me, a gay who cut my hair, a girl who did the hair relaxing, and another gay who did the hair cellophane. The first gay was so friendly and made sure that I am entertained by watching a good show at the TV or reading a nice magazine.

I believe that going to a salon and have a hair done is one way for the girls to treat ourselves because I think that our hair is our Crowning Glory. It would not hurt us going to the salon once in a while after days of stress, right?

My Father Just Turned 50

Today's my father's 50th birthday. Well, we didn't have a party or whatsoever because he thinks that he's too old for that. He's just too lucky because it was decided a week ago that our Group in the Church would be having a prayer meeting which would be held in our house. My father was already contented to have some church officers to celebrate with him on his golden year birthday.

But for us, what's important is we're still a whole family though sometimes have misunderstandings but all those years have passed, our family had stayed strong.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAPANG! I LOVE YOU ALWAYS. ♥♥♥ Gagang :-D

Movie Review: 27 Dresses

I just watched this movie and it is one of the nicest movie about woman. It is about a lady who realized since she was 6-years old that she is meant to make wedding perfect, except her own wedding.

Jane Nichols (Katherine Heigl) is known for being a perfect person to help out with all the wedding preparations. She had always been the best bridesmaid anyone can ever have. One wedding that she attended, she bump into Kevin Doyle (James Marsden) when she pass out from trying to catch a bouquet. It turns out that Kevin is the person who writes the Commitments page for the New York City Journal, under the pseudonym of Malcolm Doyle, who happens to be Jane's favorite writer. Kevin help and bring her home and accidentally, Jane left her planner in the cab. When Kevin saw it, he find Jane's life interesting and suitable for his article and believes that it would bring him to a promotion.

Since then, Kevin started chasing Jane by sending her flowers and ended up returning the planner but he put there a date with him every Saturday for the whole year. Jane never cared for Kevin because she was madly in love with her boss, George (Edward Burns), but doesn't really have the guts to say that to him until Jane's younger sister, Tess (Malin Akerman) met George on one of the parties that they attended and ended up in a relationship and finally almost married which broke Jane's heart. But Tess had been lying almost everything about her because she doesn't want to turn George off by knowing the truth about her. Jane became more hurt when the couple decided to get married and Tess wants the wedding that Jane exactly wants to have.

Meanwhile, Kevin pursue his plan in writing an article about Jane always being a bridesmaid and never a bride. He got the chance to take a picture of Jane wearing all of the 27 bridesmaid dresses to make his article realistic. But sooner Kevin realized that he's falling in love with Jane but when he realized that Jane is in love with George.

Kevin and Jane got the chance to be alone when Kevin insists he take George's place linen shopping, so that the groom-to-be can make a family dinner on time. Kevin then confronted Jane about her feelings for George but Jane denies it and sped up causing the car to hydroplane, and become stuck in the mud at the side of the road. While they hike to find a phone, they ended up in a bar and drink and talk and they found out that they have something in common, they both like to look at the groom when the bride makes her grand entrance, so that they can see the expression on his face. They both got drunk and dance on the counter singing Bennie and the Jets. Then Kevin admits that he cried on one wedding and they kissed and ended up having sex inside Jane's car. But Jane found out the article that Kevin made when they had their breakfast which made Jane very angry at Kevin. Tess became angry too because they referred her as "bridezilla". But Jane became angry with Tess when she saw that Tess revised their Mom's wedding gown and cuts off the lace to make it a modern one. Then Jane threat Tess that if Tess wouldn't tell George the whole truth about her, Jane will. Jane really did it during Tess and George's Engagement party which broke their engagement. But Jane and Tess forgave each other though.

Kevin came to see Jane and tells her how proud he is. He gives her a Palm Centro to keep track of her wedding stuff for all the trouble he caused her, and tells her he'll disappear from her life now.

One time George ask Jane a favor and as usual she does it, then George said that she loves Jane because she never says no which snapped Jane and quits her job. She also told George about her feelings for him and they kissed only to find out that there is no Chemistr between them. Then Jane realized that it was Kevin that she loved Kevin.

At the end of the story, George and Tess started all over again. And (this is my favorite part) Jane is in her 28th dress which finally her wedding dress and has her moment where he (the groom) looked at her the way she always wanted to be looked at as she walks down the aisle. She also makes the 27 brides she was bridesmaid for wear the dresses she had to wear for each of their weddings.

Farewell Party For Me

Tomorrow would be my last day at work in Concentrix (formerly Link2Support, Inc.). I have mixed feelings about it: sad but happy. I am sad because I'll be leaving some friends behind. Friends who've somehow made my stay there worthwhile. They are the one who gave happiness in my life in Concentrix. Yes, parting can never be easy. But at the same time I am happy. I am happy because I know I'll have a better life than what I had in Concentrix and I'll be starting a brand new life with Andy.

I know I'll be leaving Concentrix, one way or the other, and this is the right time and the very right reason to do that and I am glad I finally had this time.

My friends in Concentrix who'd been good, understanding, and supportive is the only thing that I would missed so much. I never wanted to have a "farewell party" with them because I know it would be sad for me, but they insisted it.

Yesterday, without any advance plan at all (in fact, it was planned just yesterday morning), we went to the beach to have a farewell party for me. The whole team didn't join though but it was great. We drink til we(honestly, it was just me.. :-D) drop. Dance like no one's watching (they said that I danced out of beat because I was so drunk and couldn't control myself anymore). Laugh like there's no tomorrow(it should be no work tomorrow.lol!). And being sentimental for a few seconds(we can't stand that second). I was touched by what Christopher said that they'd miss me because it would never be the same if I am not around. Well, just so you know, I am always the loudest in the group (I believe in the whole Chat group since Angel resigned.hehe). In fact, I was the reason why they transferred the whole Chat Support's station (it was used to be at the front of our Director's office), because our Director can't take my built-in speaker mouth. But, I know that is what they'll going to miss about me, how loud I am.

Last OFF at Link2Support

I have been in Link2Support for 2 years already and I once love the job until I realized that I am not learning from what I am doing anymore because we kept doing the same thing: answer call/receive client, troubleshoot device, end session, get CSAT/DSAT, and so on and so forth.

But I honestly can't believe that I'll be leaving the job that I always wanted to have now. Well, not at this very moment, but in 4 days from now. And today is my LAST day-off in Link2Support.

I went to the office earlier, but not to reminisce or something, it is for some important reason. But everytime I am in the office's lobby, I can still remember myself when I was waiting for the exam, the final interview and receive the letter that I was accepted and would be starting the training. I can always remember how I seated in the couch for a few hours without talking to anyone because I feel intimated by the other applicants and some people who is already working there. It seems that they're already too good being an agent and I was just trying my luck to be one of them. It was MY DREAM, but when I reached it I realized that not all dreams are nice, some really are bad and working in Link2Support was one of my bad dreams. But still I was thankful for having a chance working there because they're the one who taught me so much about computers and networking devices because that's their product and the service all about. The sad thing about it is I came to the point where I was so used to what I am doing there and felt that I am so bored of doing the same thing everyday and the only way to escape from that is to quit the job.

But that was not the reason why I am leaving Link2. My reason is way more acceptable than that.

To end this up, yes I am leaving Link2 sooner and I am happy for that but a little sad because I'll be leaving some friends behind. I will miss them somehow though I know that no one had been that true and vice versa. But this is not yet about good-byes, this is just a part of it. Wait for the final good-bye. (smile)

My Way Song: A Killer

Here in the Philippines, Videoke is one of the best way to enjoy, bonding with friends, and to celebrate. Wherever you go in the Philippines, you'll see a Videoke Bar and even on the beach, most of the cottages have Videoke machine, to where you can insert a 5-peso or 3-peso coin(s) and then you can select the song that you want to sing. Videoke also is the most common thing that Filipino does when they are drinking with friends, relatives, or even acquaintances.

One of the most common song that you can hear being sang in Videokes is "My Way", a song that was originally sang in French and titled "Comme d'habitude", then Paul Anka wrote a translation in English and popularized by Frank Sinatra, that was first released on 1969. But it was always been a talk here that the person who sing the song "My Way" in a videoke bar would most likely be killed. It is not just a talk because it truly happens. We may consider it as co-incidences but the weird thing is they're killed because they sang the song "My Way".

Well, it was not yet explained why it happens but someone I knew was almost killed because he sang this song, that's why I had an idea from him about the reason for this irony. He said that the lyrics of My Way seems to challenge everyone who is listening to it.

And now, the end is near;
And so I face the final curtain.
My friend, Ill say it clear,
Ill state my case, of which Im certain.

Ive lived a life thats full.
Ive traveled each and evry highway;
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!

If you analyze it properly, the message seems to tell us that he'd been here and there and made this and that but still "He Made it His Way", and if you won't be making it your way so you're not a man. And then whoever heard that song (who is maybe some sensitive and guilty person who hit home by the lyrics) would be mad, thinking that the singer was pertaining to him.

Significance of Water

I am not really a health conscious person and I honestly taking important foods to eat for granted which is very bad and I regret that. One thing that no one should take for granted is WATER. If you look at the FOOD PYRAMID, the food/drink that needs to be taken the most is water.

Now, here is the list of the benefits you can get from WATER that I knew:

1. Drinking lots of water would help moisturize the skin.
2. Water would clean you urinary tract and helps to avoid infection.
3. Not enough water in the body would cause dehydration.
4. If you're dehydrated, you would be constipated and if it gets worst, it can kill you.
5. Water can also help maintain the moisture of your hair to avoid dry and frizzy hair.
6. Water helps on removing toxins and waste from our body.
7. Water is one of the substances that helps the blood circulate through the body well. Less water in the body would cause fatigue.

These are the things that I know and I am sure there are more lots of benefits that we can get from water. So, from now on, I am drinking lots of water for I don't want to die early juts because I never care too much about water and prefer to drink sodas and powdered juice. Now, you decide for yourself!

What Kind of Sexy Girl Are You?

Got a new tag from Jean. This helped me brighten up my day after a few days of stress and frustrations. And it also made me remember the Jona 3 years ago. Anyway, here's mine.

You Are Boyish Sexy

You're the kind of girl who gets along with all the boys

Whether it's holding your own in a game of touch football...

Or kicking some major butt while playing Xbox.

You hang with the guys easily, while still keeping your girly sexiness.

Now, I am sharing this to my blog friends: Tonet, Tracia, and Anna.

It Had Been A Sad Days

I'm sorry for not updating my site for a few days. It was because of lots of things that happened these past few days. First is my son was sick, he had a high fever, and needs to be admitted to the hospital. Then we found out he has a UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) bronchitis, and tonsillitis. I was so worried about him because it was the first time that he never wanted to be separated from me even a single from me and it was so hard because I need to carry him in my arms the whole time. We only had a few minutes sleep until he got well. Yes, good think he's better now. Not fully well, but at least we're home now from the hospital.

I really hate staying in the hospital and hate it even more when either me or my son is the patient because we need to stay there all the time, eat and sleep there which is very not comfortable.

Now, I am blog but I am still tired. So, I guess I need to get a good rest before I started posting a few things here. Anyway, my brain is not yet functioning well. I'm all drained now and can't think good.

Copy and Paste

This has been the talk of the floor earlier. It is about a lady who, maybe didn't realized it, but she just utter an insulting words for us, the Chat Group Support at Link2Support. She said this exact phrase: "you are not paid just to copy and paste", that's why I titled this post like that.

In chat support, we admit that most of our responses to our clients are canned because we chat with 3 clients at the same time and we are not just doing customer service but we are troubleshooting routers, modems, adapters (Ethernet, USB, wired and wireless), sometimes beyond the scope of our support like computer-related concerns, and anything that involves in networking as long as we have a background knowledge about that. But NOT ALL of our responses are copied and pasted, just most of it. Anyway, clients concerns all are the same, problems with the devices that we support, so there shouldn't be any reason why we wouldn't copying and pasting.

Let me name this girl, as a form of my sweet revenge for her. At least, her name would be published to the whole world. She is SHEILA MAE SALOSOD. She is a second level technician for Phone Support. The problem about the people in Phone Support is that they think that they are better than those in Chat Support. I, myself, is from the Phone Support but had myself transferred to Chat Group because of my ear problems. So, I can really compare the jobs between the two Support. Now, you'll be the judge. Who is better, one person serving one customer at a time or one person serving THREE customers at a time? It's not that hard to make a decision, right?

Well, I am not saying that we are better than them because we're all trained for the same devices, we are on the same level, and we have the same salary. Maybe she has greater incentive than me because she's hardworking and I am not(lol). But still, she has no rights to judge the people who are from Chat Group because we are just as effective than her or anyone who belongs in Voice Group Support who critizes the Chat Group, or should I say, MORE THAN EFFECTIVE.

So, CHAT GROUP SUPPORT, YOU ROCK!!

My New Blogsite

I would not be replacing this blogsite but I made a new one. I named it Creations because it contains everything that I created myself such as stories, poems, images, and anything I could think of. I even created the template myself because I wanted it to be all original. This is something I would consider my accomplishment because I just have been learning about blogging and all other things that made it such as html and xml and now, I was able to create my own.

To all my friends who are already on my blogs list, please link my new blogsite and you'll see your name on that site too. Like this blog, I would be promoting my new blogsite too to help everyone in my list to get more traffics and we'll be helping each other. How's that? (blink)

Fragments of Truth

This is a book authored by Michael Angelo Ebro Dakudao which is about the painted essays of Bong Perez whose real name is Teody Boyle Perez, a 37 year old artist who was born and grew up in Davao City. Son of a proud couple, Pablo and Rosita Perez, husband of Margie Mollaneda-Perez, and father of Megumi Ivana and Yohhane Samuel and I am proud to say he's my first cousin, his father is my Mom's brother.

Bong discovered his talents during his early age and since he loves it so much, he did everything to pursue it. He graduated Elementary in San Roque Central Elementary School and High School in University of Southeastern Philippines (USEP) being an outstanding art representative of the institution in poster making and on-the-spot painting contests. He was a consistent winner then garnering seven first prize awards from both local and regional art competitions in Mindanao for his Alma Matter. He was even awarded as "Draftsman of the Year" in USEP in 1987.he then took up Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree at the University of Mindanao but since he was able to passed the exam for scholarship in Fine Arts in Ford Academy of the Arts, he practically transferred and graduated from that school with a degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting.

He then worked as an Art Instructor at the Asian Technical Foundation and at the Ford Academy of the Arts. The continued teaching for seven years at the Philippine Science High School of Mindanao.

Fortunately, he got a Japanese Government scholarship (MONBUSO) and left for Japan in 1998. He then earned his Masters degree in Art Education at the Saga University's Graduate School. He still continued his studies at the Kyushu Sangyo University's Doctoral Program of Fine Arts in Plastic Expression. He got lots of awards for his paintings while he stayed in Japan and even had some of his paintings chosen to become a cover of a book.
He went back to the Philippines in 2005, finally completed his full program in Plastic Expression in Fine Arts and earned his doctorate degree. Since then, he had stayed in the Philippines with a teaching career in some famous colleges and universities in the Davao City while having his Art Exhibits at least once a year.

He never fails to thank God for the talents that He had given him and continues to be humble despite of his great accomplishment in life.

Applying in Link2Support

Link2Support, Inc. is the company that I am currently working at right now. It is a call center company that provides technical support for some networking products in most part of the world. I have been in this company for 2 years already and I have so much to thank about being part of Link2support.

Since I graduated from college, I have always wanted to work in a call center for two reasons: it is a trend and it has higher salary compared to most jobs. Being hired in Link2Support was a miracle for me. Why? Because eversince I tried to apply there, I never thought that I would be accepted for some reasons. To be specific, let me tell you my story:

First is the reason why I applied to Link2Support is because my boyfriend at that time, which is January of 2006, went to Cagayan de Oro City. And during that time, Link2Support had only two branches, Cagayan de Oro and Manila, which is the main branch. Cagayan branch was the nearest call center so far in Davao so I was interested. I submitted my resume right after I got the contact information. But I was not accepted immediately, in fact, no one from Link2Support had contacted me yet. Until some tragedy happened and I decided that I needed to go someplace where I am far from everyone I knew, including my family. That was then I went to Cagayan de Oro on February 14, 2006 and lived in a boarding house while my boyfriend lives with his aunt. I have been job hunting until by 1st week of March on the same year, I got a call from Link2Support for phone interview and immediately went to their office to take the exam. By that time, I had not even a single idea about the Technical part of the exam. I'm glad I know some english and I think that was the reason why I passed the exam. After the exam, on the same day, we had our final interview, and what's scary about it is it is panel interview. There were 3 interviewers from different office of the company. During the interview, I believe I didn't show nervousness and I believe that was the reason I passed it again. The reason why I think I can't get through the final interview is because I had the worst answer I ever heard in my entire life which came from my own mouth. That was such a shame but I'm glad they liked it.

So that was my story. I wish I could tell what the question and answer part that but I don't want to post long entries. So, til next entry here. ;-)

Motherhood

I have been a mother for a 1 year and a half already because that's the age of my son right now. I can testify that it was never easy to take care of an innocent angel. But just in case that some Moms have the chance to glance on this article, I have something to share with you about what I have learned being a Mommy.

♥Being pregnant.
I love the feeling of being pregnant, the thing that seems to be a magic growing inside your tummy is amazing. Just looking at your flat belly until it becomes a big ball that you can't even see your feet. Yes, it is really magical.

♥Hearing the small voice of an angel for the first time.
That is one of the things that I would most cherish in my whole life. Each time I think about that, it would take away all the thoughts of being hard being a mother.

♥Watching a growing child.
I believe that this is the hardest things being a mother because it is very tricky. But it really helps to read some articles on the Web which are made by the experts. What's so hard about this is that it would really come to a point that your child's act would reach your temper and fighting it because you would never want to hurt your kid by punishing him.

Well, this is all I can share for now and would continue sharing with you anything I would learn. Good luck to all the Mommies, soon-to-be Mommies, and plans to be a Mommy. ☺

Sharing You Our Love

Finding true love can never easy. What's so hard about it is knowing if it's true. Me myself had been to too many "i-knew-it-was-true-love" but in the end, it never was. Good thing my heart never got tired otherwise I would not find Mr. Andrew Wayne Kuhn. Of course, you don't know who he is, but one thing I can say about him is he is a one hell of a True Love. Now, you might ask "Are you sure he is your true love?", two word would answer that, "why not?!".

I don't want to be too mushy here and tell you eveything about our love story but if you're curious, we'd let you know. We met, I think in a trendy way, through the net. I knew it was magic because I was not talking to one or two guys but few of them, I can't even count, but Andy was the only one who touched my heart and let me feel what love is despite the distance. He is an honest man, yet too good to be true, but anyhow, I love everything about him, even his sarcasm and all. And this is something I can't be tired of, to let the whole world know our love. Love in Distance is our website, you can visit this anytime if you want to be inspired and to those who had been dreaming of finding their true love, you might like what you'll see here. We want to touch hearts like how we touch each other's heart because it is always my dream to have everyone be happy with someone who loves them and they would in return, unconditionally.

what you love most about your partner/husband

Got another tag from Jean. Thanks for all the tags Ya! I'll expect more tags from you. =)

I love my Honey because:

1.He was my 2nd angel in disguise (my son was the 1st one).

2.He was there when nobody seems to care.

3.He always wants to be there for me.

4.He never fails to show and let me feel how much he loves me.

5.He fixed my broken heart and saved my life.

Now, I am passing this on to Gladys, Prue, Pinaymama, and Jona.

Gum Boy

Well, this is not something that makes my life beautiful which makes my blog but it is something that I believe everyone should be aware of. This isn't that serious but for me, it's interesting.

This is about someone at work who is good-looking, attractive, fresh-looking, neat, whatever positive you can see in his physical appearance, he is really that, in short, he is nonetheless handsome guy who every girl would want to date with. But this is not about that, it is about some disgusting thing that he's doing, "eating bubble gum and putting it under the desk, and the worst is on files of my Team Captain". I told you, it's not that serious...

But the reason why I am telling this is because it is in reality that you can never judge the person by how he looks. What he's doing is disgusting, right? For me, it is even disrespectful. Once you saw his face you can never think about that he does that but he did and still doing it. I just feel bad for those who admired him so much but only knew him by how he look and how he makes girl's heart melt by his sweet smile.

Lab-vu Mommy

The sweetest word that I ever heard in my whole life is Lab-vu Mommy. That is how my son say "I Love You, Mommy". Isn't that sweet?

I have been always telling him "I love you" out of the blue for him to know that I always love him because aside from letting him feel that, I believe that it is a different feeling to hear it too.

My son is only a year and a half years old and he just learned how to talk. And it is so nice to know that one of the few words he's saying is that he loves me. Aside from that, he does it in his actions like kissing me and hugging me tight.

Nothing can be more wonderful for being a mother than to know that your child(ren) loves you too.

My Photoshop

I am not a computer savvy but I know a little about computer, and not to brag about it, but I believe I am better than 55% of the world's population in comes to computer literacy. *grin*. I know lots of us knows how to Photoshop. But I just learned about it and I am so proud of my creations. I have decided to post them here because I was inspired by the one of the Readers review that I am posting good pictures on my site, so why not post my own pictures and creations, right? Besides, I love photography.

Anyway, here are my Photoshop creations:

My First Creation
This is the very first image that I made in Photoshop. I just played around with Pixelate feature under the Filter tab. I also use "curves" tool to lighten the appearance of the picture and give it more appeal. The "crop" tool was being used too to select the only significant part of the image being edited.

Different Colors

This is my second creation and I named this "Different Colors" because these are the different colors of my personality.

This is composed of 4 pictures(obviously). The tools that I have used in this picture are "crop", "image resize", "gradient map" under the Image tab and Adjustment option, and "curves".

The Background

This ain't my 3rd creation but I'd prefer to shared this one because this is the background that I always wanted to have on my Friendster Profile, at last I have achieved it and of course, this is what my Profile's background on my Friendster now.

In this image, I used the "pen" tool which is the hardest tool that I've ever used so far in photoshop. I also used the "gradient map", "crop", and "curves".

Loved Ones

This is the latest one I've made and was planning to used it on my other blog account, but haven't established the site yet, maybe sooner. I named it Loved Ones because these the people which made up my life. My son, my soon-to-be-husband, my parents, my bestfriend, my high school and college friends, and my team mates. I used the same tools I've used on my abovementioned creations.

These are only some of my Photoshop creations and the best that I can do. For now, I am still exploring the other tools, features, and tricks that I can do on Photoshop.
