It's so much nicer to have those straight days off and lucky me I got it. I requested it too early, that;s why. I think it was March when I requested it (LOL).

This picture is my first 'bokeh' picture. Bokeh is what they call the blur in the picture, the out-of-focus part, or outside of depth of field. By the way, I didn't know about bokeh until a week ago when I first started reading about DSLR.

Baked Mussels

I'm convinced that it's good because my son loved it. He used to not like mussels but when I showed him how to cook it, he got interested and when he tasted it, he said it's his favorite now.

Try it!

Happy Thanksgiving To Americans!

Tomorrow is my third Thanksgiving/Turkey Day and this is one of my most favorite holiday here in the US. Because one, there's a lot of food, and two, the Holiday season officially starts. The best thing about this year's Thanksgiving for me is I GOT BLACK FRIDAY OFF, not to go shopping (though I'm thinking about it) but just having 4 straight days off but luckily, I'll get 7 days this time....woohooo! (I know, my work mates are jealous...sorry guys!)

My last post was already a week ago. Time does fly so fast. I thought it was just yesterday. And we already passed half of the month, two more months and it would be another year. Time is really moving so fast, it scares the hell out of me. Though I am looking forward for the next year because me and Andy were planning something big and in God's willing, we'll receive the answer to our prayers.

And so I realized that there's really not enough time for us to dilly-dally. We should not take our time for granted. As the saying goes, "Live like you'll gonna die tomorrow". Enjoy life, at the same time, do good because you won't know if it would be the last time. But again, it's easier said than done. I'd be a hypocrite if I would say that I'm actually doing what I just typed. I actually felt like I have wasted so much time already and I'm saying right now that I don't wanna waste more but I doubt it would ever gonna happen. We'll see and maybe I'll let you know.

For now, let me end this post by saying Goodnight! :) xoxo

My New Facebook App Addiction: Millionaire City

Oh yes, I'm addicted to a new app I just found recently on Facebook. After successful avoiding farm apps, a new one hooked me up. I'ts "Millionaire City"!

Why and how were the big questions. Why...because with this game, I can call myself a millionaire. At least, at a point in my life, I was once a millionaire! LOL. How...I just found an ad by Facebook on side panel of their home page and voila! I just found myself clicking stuff on this virtual world--build buildings, decorations, signed a contract, make an investment. And guess what?!? I now have 4 Facebook accounts just for this game. Two are dedicated to it as part of my successful investments.

I know, I'm nuts! But hey, at least I'm doing this instead of other bad vices, just like what I always tell my husband for his addiction with online Ticket To Ride and Car Town, "that's fine, since you don't waste money, only time...just make sure, when I tell you to help me with this and that, you'll be right there right away and your games are not excuses" and he's good with that.'

Anyhow, it's getting late and tomorrow's Monday so I'd be hitting the sack now. Good night all!

Writing about nothing

Type, backspace. Type, backspace. Type, backspace. That's what I have been doing for this past 10 minutes or so. I wanna blog about something. I have a lot of thoughts in my mind right now. Before, I used to just start typing and before I knew it, I already typed what I needed to type. Now, the thoughts are just there but it won't pass through my fingertips. I can't put them into words. So for now, I'm blogging about nothing. I know this has something to do with me not blogging for quite a while now. I keep procrastinating and of course, it just stays like that.

Anyway, I just want to put something in my blog. I know this is senseless but hey this is my blog!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone. :)

Fake Email From PayPal

Just the other day, I received an email from PayPal with subject line "Account Restricted - Log In As Soon As Possible" from email address imp-srvc@ppal.com. I looked through other emails I received from PayPal and they all came from email format of @paypal.com. The link in the email message is https://www.paypal.com but when hovered on, it shows up as http://coastalcommunitychurch.com/m.html. But since I was curious, I still clicked on the link and unsurprisingly, thanks to my computer protection software, it brought me to this screen:

I then asked PayPal Virtual Agent about this issue and this is what I got from them:
One way to tell if an email is really from PayPal is that we address you by your first and last names or your business name. We don't say things like "Dear user" or "Hello PayPal member."

Also, our emails don't link directly to pages that ask you to enter sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security numbers. Our emails never link directly to pages like that.

If you received what you believe is a fake PayPal email:

1. Please forward it to our Customer Service team at spoof@paypal.com.
2. Delete the suspicious email and don't click any links or attachments in it.

Good enough info huh?! So if you receive an email like this, don't hesitate, forward it to spoof@paypal.com, so that they can take care of it and make sure to mark it as SPAM

Shrink = Psychologist/Psychiatrist

I was reading a book earlier and came across a phrase where they refer a psychologist into a "shrink". I'm no native English speaker and I'm pretty new here in the US so I'm trying to learn the slang terms that are commonly used here. I asked my American friends about it and one said that it's because Psychologist/Psychiatrist has an ability to shrink someone's mind and another one said that it came from the word "headshrinker".

I went ahead and searched it online and I found this site www.dearshrink.com. I can't believe that there was deep reason for it and a history how they came up with the term for Psychologist/Psychiatrist.

Basically, the main reason for the term is Psychologist/Psychiatrist has the ability to shrink someone's mind into something understandable. Just like what the word shrink means, to reduce in size, Psychologist/Psychiatrist will try to eliminate some of the thoughts that has been bothering you or reduce the cause of the problem, thus, shrinking your mind. Makes sense? No?! See a shrink. :D

Yes, I'm Back!

Wow! It has been a long time since I blogged. My last post here was on October 04, 2009. I didn't expect that I'll be back again but something pushed me on going back.

The reason why I stopped blogging is I got a full time job so I didn't have much time to spent typing and making a post here. I decided that I'd rather spend my time off from work with my family, cos since I got a full time job, the time I spent has become lesser. But now that I'm back, that doesn't mean that I won't have time for them. I'll make sure that I give them enough time first before my blogging.

Why I'm back? Because I needed more money to buy something I want and it's a little bit more expensive than what I usually want and I wanted it quick. I just hope that I'd be as lucky as what I was last year in receiving assignments from sponsors.

So I guess I'll be meeting my cyber friends around then. I hope you missed me :P ... To the sponsors, I'm ready!!! Give me assignments now, PLEASE... ;D
