Talking about GUAVA

I watched Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus two nights ago and it caught my attention when they use Guava to brush their teeth and the members of the 505th Search and Rescue Brigade of the Philippine Air Force who put the housemates into military training for the first time as part of their weekly task, said that using Guava as a toothbrush is better than using a toothpaste (huh?! he's kidding, right?). So, that made me curious about the fruit and made a research about it and here is what I found:

Guava is a cure for bad breath, in fact it is one of the best home remedies for bad breath. Chewing it is an outstanding tonic for the teeth and gums. It helps cure bleeding from gums and discontinues bad breath. Munching or chewing tender leaves of guava tree also stops bleeding from gums and bad breath.

Guava contains Vitamin C, in fact, the skin of a Guava contains 5 times Vit C than of an orange. Guava also has Vit A and B, Calcium, Potasium, Iron, Folic Acid, Fiber, and MORE.

From Hub Pages website, these are the list of cases where Guava is beneficial:

1. Prolonged menstruation
2. High blood pressure
3. Poor circulation (strengthen the heart)
4. Congestion of the lungs
5. Acidosis
6. Asthma
7. Catarrh
8. Obesity
9. Scurvy

Isn't that amazing? Sometimes, we just take Guava for granted without knowing how much we lose for doing that. This is another knowledge and I love to share with you. Happy Guava!! :-)
