Tuesday Toot: Made Own Forum

This is my very first and definitely not the last post for joining Mommy Community's activities.

My Toot for this Tuesday is about the Forum that I made today. I was doing a site hopping when I came into another community and followed the sponsor for their forum. Then I was convinced to sign up and create my own forum.

As for now, I am the only member of the forum because I just made it today, but I am hoping to put it in this site and have everyone enjoy it. I titled the forum FRIENDSHIP CORNER because I wanted it as a medium for everyone here in the cyberspace to meet and create friendship.

My Son Would Be Turning Two Soon

A few days from now, my son would be 2 years old. Time really flies so fast because I can still recall the day that I gave birth to him. I was already at the hospital since I already knew the day before that that I am about to give birth. I guess I was really lucky because I didn't feel any pain when giving birth. I was so relaxed and excited while my mother was so tense because it was the very first operation that I have ever went to and I have never been admitted to the hospital until I gave birth.

When I think about those moment, the very first time I heard him cry and I saw his cute angelic face whom eyes was flickering trying to realize where he was at at that very moment. It was such a magical moment and I can't explain how happy I am during that day.

Now, it has already been almost 2 years that has passed and he may not be as innocent as what he was 2 years ago but he is an angel to me.

He would be two a few days from now and I wanted to give him something that he truly deserves. We are not planning on having a big party or something like that because at his age, he would still not appreciate it. It would be just like what we did during his first birthday. We just went to the beach with the whole family. And what made it very special is his Daddy was there. I just want to make his day special by letting him eat all he can his favorite foods such as ice cream, jone's supreme, etc. What is really important is that our family is still together and we're all healthy and serving our Lord God.

Family bonding

Family bonding is always important because it can help your family build a strong relationship. We don't usually do this since my husband works 12 hours a day as a manager, sometimes he would even go home later than the usual which means that we don't have enough time to bond. His only rest day is every Sunday. Then every Sunday morning we go to the Church, then we'll go to my husband's parents house in the afternoon. This situation cause me and my husband to be somehow emotionally apart from each other. Even we talk about our life each time we go to sleep, but we realize that it is not enough. There should be a time where your whole family can have fun and it is what is missing in us. Now, we decided to give our family a special time to bond and we started it yesterday. We bought video games because it is something that me and my husband both love and our son enjoys it too. it is a racing game and we all enjoy it so much. We had a dinner in a Filipino restaurant last Saturday night too which is another time for us to be bonded. But yesterday, we had a fine dining, but just at home. My husband cook a turkey since he knew that I never had whole turkey yet. We can't wait for Thanksgiving day to have a turkey.

Then, early this afternoon, my husband called me because he talked to the owner of store he is working at about getting an extra time off and it is so nice to hear that he got it. So instead of just having a Sunday off, he will have half of Saturday as his off as well. Though as a starter for the new schedule, he'll have that every other week and if it would still not work for us, he will ask for another extra time off. As for me, I would not be blogging as much as I do because there would times that when my husband gets home, I am in the middle of doing something in my blog and it is so hard for me to leave it. Now, we need to prioritize our family whatever is at stake because it is the most important for us. We can't afford to lose each other because we love our family so much.

I am a mother of one angel named Dion and a wife to a wonderful man named Andy. We just actually got married last July in Austin, TX and we are currently residing in Pflugerville, TX. I was from the Philippines but me and son immigrated here in the US to be with my husband and we can be together, forever.
