Simple Birthday Celebration

Yesterday's my 24th birthday. It was my first birthday here in Texas with my own family, my husband and my son. We didn't have a party or whatsoever yesterday yet we had a simple celebration the day before at Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels together with my in-laws. It was my and Abi's first time at Schlitterbahn and we did surely enjoyed it.



On the same day, Abi was finally offered to the Church so we had a double celebration that day.

Mom and Yvonne had a little surprise for me. They did a chocolate cake for me. But they put it inside the cooler together with the other foods. Unfortunately, the watermelon decided to break the cake (lol!) so it didn't end up the way that it should look but it still taste good. Anyway, "It's the thought that counts" (wink).

Then on my birthday, my husband had a simple not-so-surprising(grin) surprise for me. He gave me a very nice card which has a very nice message in it and he said that he really did a research about it and not just picked a card that he thinks would be likable or anything like that. But he did buy that card a week ago and I guessed that it was for me, so a week ago I already knew that he'll be giving me a card. But I didn't see the card and haven't read what's in it until yesterday which was my birthday. So, here's goes...



Though it was not a usual celebration that I had but I am still happy because my wish from my birthday last year was to celebrate it with Andy and so this year's birthday, it did come true. And I feel blessed with what I have right now in my life, a perfect family which I always prayed to have, and that for me, that is the most important gift I could ever ask from Him.

Alforque-Matildo Nuptials

Finally, the long-time couples, Irene Aubrey "Eng-eng" Alforque and Alvin "Mats-mats" Matildo were married last 888.

They're both my schoolmates in high school and since there are only 3 sections in Laboratory school where we studied, we're all close to each other. Mats-mats was my school mate in elementary too so I've known him for quite a period of time too.

They have been sweethearts since we were in high-school, I think we were in Junior or Sophomore, I really can't remember exactly, all I know is that they have been dating since then and never had I heard that they broke up or there's a 3rd party or something. They have been faithful to each other and their relationship is always as strong as ever, that is because they're both really in love with each other. No questions ask, but you can see it in them. So, no doubt that they'd come to this stage, and finally they did.

I'm very happy for them coz they had finally brought their relationship to the next level and I can see that they will always be the couples that we've known since high school: simple, not-too-showy, but very much in love which would show by just the way they look at each other.

My Son Loves THE WONDER PETS

My son, Abi is 22 months old already and it has been a few months since he's starting to pay interest to TV shows, but just a few weeks ago, I realized that he has his favorite TV show. I can say that it's his favorite because once he's watching that show, he can't be disturbed anymore and I can see that he's enjoying it. By the way, the show that he likes is THE WONDER PETS. It's a cartoon show about a turtle, chick, and a hamster who saves other animals who are in needs. Abi sings with them and imitating what they're saying which means that he's learning.
