Last Day of May

A few minutes from now, the month of May would end. I am saying this because lots of things happened to me this Month and just yesterday was one of the best. May would be my last complete month here in the Philippines for now for I'll be joining the love of my life in his place. That means that I'll be starting a new WONDERFUL life with him and with our son.

So far, I have the most number of posts in May too. So you see, lots of new things had come to me this month.

I'm happy but sad now. Happy because 9 days from now, I'll be in my Honey's arms again and would be inseparable then ::grin:: and I know that from that day, I will have a new life, hopefully the life that I am dreaming of because I would be in a new place, be around with new people, having a new lifestyle, and just everything would be new and I know that for some time, I will have a little hard time to adjust but I know too that my Honey would help me with that.

Sad because I am leaving the life that I am used to, most especially to be apart from my parents. Right now I am really hurting because I am thinking about the day that we'll leave this house, for sure, it would be a few years before we can see this house again. This is my first to be far from my parents, especially my Mom and it hurts so much. I know she's hurting too. But this is the life that I've chosen and she let me chose it.

Oh my, May, bye-bye to you. The next time I'll be with you is I'll be in a different place with a new different life but I hope another best thing would happen by that time still.

Received Visa Today .. Let's Celebrate!!!

A text message woke me up at 8:15 in the morning, it said that my son's Visa is for delivery which start tomorrow, then another one followed which is for my Visa's delivery. YAAAAYYYY!!! ::dance:: . I really jumped for joy because finally I had a good news since the date I knew my Interview date. I got up from the bed, turn on my computer, and send message to my Honey about the good news. Then we talk about the next thing to happen (not the wedding yet, we should wait until I am in Texas). He immediate ly reserved a plane ticket. We'd be flying to Manila on June 9th, get the CFO stamp on the following day, then fly to Texas on the 11th. Our port of entry would be San Francisco, CA. OMG! I'm very excited. I don't know how to express it, really ::grin::.

But around 3 o'clock this afternoon, our Visa arrived. WOOOHHH!! That was so QUICK! I was expecting to receive it on Monday base on the message that I just received from them. But, OMG! This is one of the best days of my life. I finally have the visa in my hand and 10 days from now, I'll be seeing my Honey again. OMG! I miss him so much ...

So, that was it, I have my Visa today, finally, after a long wait. Total processing time is 7 months and 11 days. That was long and while waiting for my visa, it seems to be taking longer than forever. But no more waiting now coz I already have it. YAAAYYY!! ::dance:: And all the other processing that we need to do would be easier coz me and my Honey would be in each other's side to do that.

Cleaning up my page

I am trying to clean up my page and I believe I have done a quite a few things here now.

First is I changed my template to something clean and simple from a neon color one which I realize not friendly to my readers eyes at all. I just hope that I won't be changing my template again though I really can't say so. Let's just see after a few days(lol)

Second is I tried to arrange my Blog Roll alphabetically by names because I don't just wanted to blog, but I also want to earn friends here and putting their names instead of the title of their blogs make be easy for me to remember them. Though I was not able to find out some of the names on my Blog Roll because they didn't put their names on their blog itself. So, if ever anyone here would check my Blog Roll and you are listed by the title of your Blog, please let me know by dropping a line here so that I can be able to change it. Thanks in advance.

I will be on leave for a few days(I hope) for some personal reason. I will surely miss blogging so much and I hope I can get back to doing this soon.

You and Your Child/ren

I got a tag from Pinay WAHM. Actually didn't tell me, but I saw it on her site and I was on the list for the people that she tagged with this. That's considered, right? We just got off from our first airplane ride from Cagayan de Oro to Manila. He loves airplane so much and being inside the airplane itself was one of the mots memorable moment for him (I guess! He was enjoying it so much, he doesn't even want to got off from it)


Since we are INC members, attending an INC service in Manila for the first time is a great experience for us so here is our picture.


So far, this is our last picture together. He is playing with my MP3 Player because he thinks that he should know everything and anything that I am doing, so he's trying his best to explore my MP3 Player.

Can never get satisfaction with the background

As you have observed, I have a new template again and maybe some of my blogger friends would think that they're hopping in a new site. lol! Yeah, I've changed my template again. As what I have mentioned on my previous post, Changing my site's background again, that I will be playing around with my blog's HTML. I also love using the Photoshop and I am still in the stage of exploring it. I find it interesting and a fun thing to do. If the time would come that I will be tired doing it, I would probably ask some of my blogger friends who are specializing in making fantastic templates to give mine a make-over, because they're very good at it. By the way, if you are interested in having your blog a make-over, check Carlota's Web-Blog Designs and Designs by Vhiel. I really admire their work.

What inspired me to do this template is the Photoshop's Special Effect brushes, like the butterflies in my header. Yeah, I just started making my header then I decided to change the whole template. hehehehe.

So, here it is, my plain and simple template, still with a touch of pink.

Very Slow Internet Connection

I almost hate this day. My internet connection is verrrrry slow. It's seems to be running in 1kpbs though I know that I have 700++kbps connection. I'm losing patience here now. I can't seem to do multiple things at the same time because what I normally do is check my blog, bloghopping, play with google search, watch videos at YouTube, check my e-mail and chat with friends on the Messenger. But today, I can only once at the same time and it's killing me. I feel like wasting too much time.

I hope that I can have the good connection that I usually had. Maybe it is just because of the bad weather here right now.

And to my blogger friends, I will still try to do the request you had with the best that I can.

My Bestfriend went Scuba Diving

My bestfriend, Tetet, went scuba diving last March 18, 2008 with her officemates in BDO at Talikod, Island Garden City of Samal, Davao del Norte, Philippines.

Wow!! I'm so envious about it. I always wanted to do scuba diving but just doesn't have the chance to do so. I'm happy that at least my bestfriend had finally done it and we're now planning to do it together. That would mean so much fun.

Tribute to the Dads

My Papang is the best father for me, not because that he is my father but because he never failed to be a good father to me. He worked hard to give me the things I needed and I realized the efforts that he did for our family. He may not be the best man in the world because he has failures too but he is always the best father. If not with him, I will never be who I am now. I am so proud of him for being strong despite of all the hard things we had in life. I know it was never easy for him and I even saw him starting to give up but he didn't and continue to stand up and fight for us.

My fiance has always been a good dad to my son. Obviously, he's not the biological father of Dion but he's Dion's real father still. He treated and accepted my son as his own without any second thoughts and I wanna thank him for that. Dion had always known him as his real father though.

To this two FATHERS in my life, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and you two will always be the BEST FATHER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.

Changing my site's background again

Here I am again, I guess you've notice that I already develop this bad habit of changing my background from time to time. ehehehe. Well, that is because I love playing around with it but sooner, I will have a background that I would really use permanently (about 10 years from now? lol).

Anyway, this time, I just want to play around with the new brushes that I have in my Photoshop and these brushes are the ones I used on creating my Floral Vector background. Again, I got these wonderful brushes as a freebie from Brusheezy, Hawksmont Universe, and Deviantart. As what I have commented on them, "I can't imagine a Photoshop if without their wonderful brushes". Yes, that is true because they really have huge collection of wonderful brushes and they're giving it away. That's how generous they are and I wanna thank them for that.

Philippines is part of the NEW SEVEN WONDERS of Nature

Some of the beautiful spots in the Phlippines are nominated in the New 7 Wonders of Nature in the World. As a proud Filipino, I am very happy about this and though I haven't been to these places before but I know how wonderful they are that is because for one reason, they are located in the Philippines.

Here are the nominees from the Philippines:

Tubbataha Reef - an island of coral reefs that encircles a lagoon, located in Sulu Sea. It is protected by Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park to keep it's natural beauty.


Was also declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on December 1993.



Chocolate Hills - composed of over a thousand of perfectly shaped cones located in Bohol. It is the Bohol's most famous tourist attraction.

The hills are all covered with green which turns brown during dry season. But until now it was not yet known how these wonderful hills were formed though there have been lots of theories of some geologists and some legends that the Bohol people would tell for the reason of the formation of these hills.


Mayon Volcano(Mt. Mayon) - an active volcano which was known for it's near perfectly con e shape, located in the province of Albay.

This is the most active volcano in the country, erupted over 47 times in the past 400 years, because it is part of the Pacific Ring of Fire.


Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park - also known as St. Paul's Subterranean River National Park, located in Saint Paul Mountain Range on the northern coast of the island of Palawan.

The longest navigable underground river which measures 8.2 kilometer that winds through a spectacular cave before emptying into the South China Sea.

Makes me happy when they are happy

This is my friend's family. Bhuboy(father), Jingkoi(mother), and their cute daugther, Ziggy. Jingkoi is my barkada since high-school until we went to college and until now, we're still being true to each other, FRIENDS FOREVER of course.



I got this picture from Jingkoi's Friendster Profile because I like it so much.

I'm always happy when I know that my friend is happy. Well, Jingkoi had always been happy for me whatever happened to my life and she has always been there to encourage me. She's always been a loyal friend to me and I really love her for that.

My Very Own Pancit Palabok

As a Pinay Mommy, we love to cook (though I don't really cook that much) and of course we want to share our favorite foods with our kids. Pancit Palabok is one of my favorite foods and I am posting this because I am joining the PMC's weekly fest, of course I wanna get the wonderful freebies from PMC. That's how we, Mom's, bond. We share ideas and we're enjoying every moment of it. :-D



Ingredients

Noodles - 1/2 kilo of white and round miki
Boil 4 cups water, add a little salt. Put noodles in strainer and dip in boiling water for 5 minutes or till noodles is cooked. Drain. Transfer on plate. Top with garnishings. Pour palabok on top. Garnish with sliced cooked eggs and chopped spring onions.

Garnishings

* squid adobo (pusit)
* flaked fish meat (tinapa)
* pork sitsaron, coarsely pounded
* powdered pork sitsaron
* fried minced garlic
* cooked shrimps, shelled
* hard boiled eggs, sliced
* chopped spring onions

Palabok

* 1/2 kilo fresh small crabs
* (possibly w/soft shell)
* 1 large onion, chopped finely
* 4 cloves garlic, minced
* 3 tbsp cornstarch
* 1 1/2 cups water
* 3 tbsp atchuete seeds or
* 2 tbsp atchuete oil
* 2 tbsp patis
* 1 tsp vetsin

PROCEDURE

Wash crabs, open up and extract fat top shell, squeeze out meat from body. Set fat and meat aside. Then pound crab and squeeze juice in 1 1/2 cups of water. Set aside juice till brown. Add onion. Add crabs fat meat, season with patis. Stir for 2 minutes and add crab juice. Season With patis and vetsin. Let boil for 10 minutes , stirring constantly Then, add dissolved cornstarch, stir until it thickens.
